Job Advertisement: Seasonal Nursery Workers Needed

At Stakheden Nursery just outside Ludvika, our operations are constantly evolving. We now need to strengthen our team with several seasonal nursery workers.

The plants from Svenska Skogsplantor are known for maintaining a high and consistent quality level. We work a lot with creative solutions and various trials in our cultivation. It is important for us to continuously review our operations and find better ways of working together.

We are looking for someone who has previously worked in industry, forestry, or cultivation. However, the most important thing is that you have an interest and commitment to producing forest plants. You should also be technically skilled and have good computer skills, as much of our management, documentation, and measurements are done in apps and computer environments.

About the Position

The tasks vary depending on the season and competence. We strive for all employees to have as broad a competence as possible in our various processes.

During the period from March to June, we sow new forest plants in our production line. From April to September, the tasks mainly involve maintenance and monitoring of our ongoing forest plant cultivation. Common tasks include everything from weeding and maintaining our open fields to irrigation. Tractor and forklift driving are included.

From October to January, we work in shifts to treat and pack all our forest plants into boxes. This takes place in a modern processing/packing line where our nursery workers work both at the production line and with forklift or loader driving. Technical interest is also required here.

When needed, you will also work with other tasks that occur at a nursery. Shift work and on-call duty may occur during certain periods of the year. The positions are seasonal employment.

About You

To thrive with us, we believe you can handle rapid changes and are flexible in your way of being, as we have very varied tasks. You enjoy being part of a group but can also work independently under your own responsibility. As a person, we want you to be responsible and flexible as well as solution-oriented. You have excellent collaboration skills and enjoy coming up with new ideas and working on improvements. A B driver's license is a prerequisite. Experience with forklifts and loaders is an advantage.
